Our Edmonton instructors deliver a balanced mix of classroom theory and practical machine evaluation. We focus on giving operators a deep understanding of machine limits, attachment usage, and workplace hazard awareness to prevent costly accidents and equipment damage.
Course Curriculum:
- Pre-Use Inspections: How to conduct thorough daily circle checks to identify mechanical issues, fluid leaks, and track/tire wear.
- Load Dynamics: Understanding the machine’s center of gravity, lifting capacities, and the “Stability Triangle.”
- Safe Maneuvering: Navigating tight spaces, managing blind spots, and ensuring pedestrian safety on busy sites.
- Attachment Mastery: Safe procedures for connecting, using, and disconnecting common attachments like buckets, forks, and sweepers.
Training Details:
- Location: 20204 110 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB.
- Duration: Approximately 6 hours (includes practical component).
- Certification: Upon successful completion (80% minimum on both theory and practical components), you’ll receive a certificate.
- Re-certification: Required every three years.
- Prerequisites: All students must bring valid government-issued identification.
- PPE Required: 6″ safety boots, safety gloves, hard hat, safety glasses, and hi-vis vests.
- Cancellations: 24-hour notice is required. Late arrivals or no-shows will forfeit the full course fee. Qualified substitutions are permitted up to the course start date.
