What is WestPro Safety Services?
WestPro provides safety-related expertise to a wide variety of clients. We believe that, through education, training, and encouragement, unplanned events can be prevented. By working with clients, consultants and contractors, we can help integrate a strong safety culture into their work sites and ensure they exceed Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) laws and regulations.

Prime Contractor Safety Management Program (PCSMP)
The Prime Contractor Safety Management Program is the system that WestPro implements on each site to encourage a consistent and effective safety culture. We require each contractor working on WestPro sites to acknowledge and sign off on the PCSMP before beginning any work on location. This creates a safety standard that is uniform across all contractors. In many ways the WestPro Safety Advisor acts like an OHS officer that is looking for potential code violations, to correct them, before they become an order, fine, or incident. It is the intention of the PCSMP to promote production by facilitating an environment where working safely limits downtime from injury or incident.
The key components of the PCSMP are the Contractor Check In, Advisor Inspections, and Safety Reporting through Nektar.

Bringing on WestPro Safety Services as the Prime Contractor for Safety serves a variety of functions for our clients, some of which include:
OHS Act Section 3(10) Compliance
We satisfy section 3(10) of the OHS Act to designate a prime contractor and takes that responsibility off one of the contractors on site freeing up their attention to focus on their tasks.
Legal Defence for Land Developers
We add a layer of legal defence for the land developer as the PCSMP and advisor reports function as due diligence proofs in the event of an incident.
Unified Site Safety Management
WestPro will act as the joint health and safety committee for each site that we control, giving workers from all companies a neutral third party to address any concerns that are raised on site.
Safety Reporting / Incident Investigation
What is Nektar?
Nektar is the new data management system that we are implementing at WestPro Safety and Training to help streamline our Prime Contractor services. This system will make reporting to site easier and more transparent for our Contractors and Clients.
