Our Grande Prairie facility mimics the real-world conditions you’ll face on the job. We teach you how to handle palletized loads with precision and how to use a skid steer effectively for earthmoving and cleanup, all while maintaining strict safety standards.
Course Highlights:
- Two Tickets: Receive separate certificates for Skid Steer and Forklift operation.
- Practical Handling: Extensive hands-on time to build confidence on both machines.
- Risk Management: Learning to identify and mitigate hazards in shops and yards.
- Maintenance: How to perform daily checks to keep your equipment running reliably.
Training Details:
- Location: 65021 Highway 43, Grande Prairie, AB.
- Two Day Duration: New & Experienced operators – Approximately 6 hours each day (includes practical component).
- Certification: Upon successful completion (80% minimum on both theory and practical components), you’ll receive a certificate.
- Re-certification: Required every three years.
- Prerequisites: All students must bring valid government-issued identification.
- PPE Required: 6″ safety boots, safety gloves, hard hat, safety glasses, and hi-vis vests.
- Cancellations: 24-hour notice is required. Late arrivals or no-shows will forfeit the full course fee. Qualified substitutions are permitted up to the course start date.

Q: Is “Bobcat” training the same as Skid Steer training?
A: Yes. Bobcat is a brand name, but the machine is technically a Skid Steer Loader. This course certifies you to operate all standard skid steer brands (Bobcat, Cat, John Deere, etc.).
