Course Overview:
Hosted at our Edmonton Operations Centre on 110 Avenue NW, this course offers flexible duration options based on your experience level. Whether you are a seasoned operator needing a refresher or a new hire starting from scratch, we provide the seat time and theory you need.
What You Will Learn:
- Loader Operations: Techniques for leveling, stockpiling, and safely loading trucks.
- Skid Steer Mastery: Understanding the unique steering controls, stability triangles, and attachment use.
- Unified Safety: Pre-use inspections, hazard assessment, and understanding Alberta OHS legislation for powered mobile equipment.
- Maintenance: Routine checks for hydraulic systems, tires, and tracks.
Training Details:
- Location: 20204 110 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB.
- One Day Duration: Experienced operators – Approximately 8 hours (includes practical component).
- Two Day Duration: New operators – Approximately 6 hours each day (includes practical component).
- Certification: Upon successful completion (80% minimum on both theory and practical components), you’ll receive a certificate.
- Re-certification: Required every three years.
- Prerequisites: All students must bring valid government-issued identification.
- PPE Required: 6″ safety boots, safety gloves, hard hat, safety glasses, and hi-vis vests.
- Cancellations: 24-hour notice is required. Late arrivals or no-shows will forfeit the full course fee. Qualified substitutions are permitted up to the course start date.
