Course Overview:
Our Grande Prairie facility offers realistic training conditions to prepare you for local industry needs. You will learn how to handle the heavy, bulk materials common in our region using a front-end loader, and how to precisely maneuver palletized goods with a forklift.
Course Highlights:
- Dual Certification: Receive two separate tickets upon successful completion.
- Material Handling: Best practices for loading trucks, organizing yards, and moving inventory.
- Machine Physics: Understanding how load weight affects the center of gravity on both machines.
- Practical Skills: Extensive seat time to build muscle memory and confidence.
Training Details:
- Location: 65021 Highway 43, Grande Prairie, AB.
- Two Day Duration: New & Experienced operators – Approximately 6 hours each day (includes practical component).
- Certification: Upon successful completion (80% minimum on both theory and practical components), you’ll receive a certificate.
- Re-certification: Required every three years.
- Prerequisites: All students must bring valid government-issued identification.
- PPE Required: 6″ safety boots, safety gloves, hard hat, safety glasses, and hi-vis vests.
- Cancellations: 24-hour notice is required. Late arrivals or no-shows will forfeit the full course fee. Qualified substitutions are permitted up to the course start date.
