Course Overview:
Our Edmonton-based Load Securement course combines classroom theory with practical application. Located at our Head Office and Operations Centre, we provide accessible training for individuals and corporate fleets alike.
Core Curriculum:
- NSC Standard 10 Compliance: Understand the legal requirements for cargo securement in Alberta.
- Tie-Down Techniques: Master the use of chains, straps, and binders.
- Inspection Protocols: Learn to identify compromised systems and structures before leaving the yard.
- Specialized Methods: Instruction on belly wrapping and securing heavy equipment.
Training Details:
- Location: 20204 110 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB (Easy access from Anthony Henday & Yellowhead Trail).
- Duration: Approximately 4 hours (includes practical component).
- Certification: Upon successful completion (80% minimum on both theory and practical components), you’ll receive a certificate.
- Re-certification: Required every three years.
- Prerequisites: All students must bring valid government-issued identification.
- PPE Required: 6″ safety boots, safety gloves, hard hat, safety glasses, and hi-vis vests.
- Cancellations: 24-hour notice is required. Late arrivals or no-shows will forfeit the full course fee. Qualified substitutions are permitted up to the course start date.
