Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Is ESC MEWP the same as the old OSSA AWP course?
A: Yes. The Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) has merged into Energy Safety Canada. This ESC MEWP course replaces the legacy OSSA AWP course but maintains the same high standards and site access privileges.

Q: Do I need Fall Protection before taking this course?
A: While not strictly required to sit the class, you cannot legally operate a boom lift on most sites without a valid Fall Protection ticket. We recommend holding a current ESC Fall Protection certificate.

Q: Where is the practical testing done in Edmonton?
A: Practical evaluations are conducted right here at our Edmonton yard (20204 110 Avenue NW) using our fleet of modern lift equipment.
