  • Routine Maintenance: Recognizing fluid leaks, track/tire wear, and hydraulic issues before operating.
  • Lifting Mechanics: How to properly manage weight distribution when lifting heavy materials or working on slopes.
  • Terrain Management: Specialized techniques for operating on mud, snow, and uneven ground common in the Peace Region.
  • Emergency Protocols: The correct actions to take in the event of a tip-over, loss of hydraulic power, or mechanical failure.

Training Details:

  • Location: 65021 Highway 43, Grande Prairie, AB.
  • Duration: Approximately 6 hours (includes practical component).
  • Certification: Upon successful completion (80% minimum on both theory and practical components), you’ll receive a certificate.
  • Re-certification: Required every three years.
  • Prerequisites: All students must bring valid government-issued identification.
  • PPE Required: 6″ safety boots, safety gloves, hard hat, safety glasses, and hi-vis vests.
  • Cancellations: 24-hour notice is required. Late arrivals or no-shows will forfeit the full course fee. Qualified substitutions are permitted up to the course start date.
