Course Objectives:
We emphasize proactive hazard identification and machine control. By the end of this session, participants will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of lift truck physics and the proper procedures for loading, traveling, and unloading.

- Hazard Assessment: Spotting site risks, overhead obstructions, and surface irregularities.
- Equipment Fundamentals: Identifying the functions of all controls, gauges, and safety devices.
- Tipping Prevention: Reading capacity data plates and avoiding actions that compromise machine stability.
- Operational Rules: Best practices for traveling on inclines, stacking pallets, and parking safely.
Training Details:
- Location: 3001 Snow Eagle Drive, Fort McMurray, AB.
- Duration: Approximately 6 hours (includes practical component).
- Certification: Upon successful completion (80% minimum on both theory and practical components), you’ll receive a certificate.
- Re-certification: Required every three years.
- Prerequisites: All students must bring valid government-issued identification.
- PPE Required: 6″ safety boots, safety gloves, hard hat, safety glasses, and hi-vis vests.
- Cancellations: 24-hour notice is required. Late arrivals or no-shows will forfeit the full course fee. Qualified substitutions are permitted up to the course start date.
